Rain is jingle of clouds

to enchant and bless the greens,

Crooning of soil is grass,

Fragrance sublime of creativity,

Snow is heaven’s vocabulary

words as perfect flakes

shrouding nakedness of earth,

blooming isolated or en masse

Flowers are seasons’ stamps,

Wintry wink in pastels

Spring’ s kaleidoscopic hues

Summer has many for days,

more for nights

with autumn saturation subdues,

When petals dust to ground

they are surely stuck

to a scribbled note

by tree to soil:

‘Seeds are plumping

fluff your ochre, umber lap

be prepared for a gurgle new.’

Flowers grow so that

earth and sky could communicate

about secret missions of nature

moon, sun, stars being spies

envelopes are sunlight, moonshine,

with an unfathomable chip

hidden behind the pasted

flower stamps

perceived by recipient

according to

texture, chroma, scent,

once peeled from postage

and secrecy retrieved,

the stamp grown by elements

curled, shrivelled, spent

lived for its purpose due.

We are living in the digital world, covered in the autonomous aspects & tracked motions of life. Yet, somehow we are losing some critical elements. Keyboards, touchpads, & speech-to-text are there, but we believe that handwritten words on paper is still meaningful to some poets.
