Lyrics in Yellow. Digital artwork by the author.

The earth is kissed by the Golden Yellow
A hand is raised in a gentle blessing
Making me the beloved child of the Sun.

The Ochre Yellow Earth
Saunters rich in its aroma and life
Guiding me to rethink, restart, refresh.

The Mustard Yellow Daisies unfold
Create a chain of memories
Wrapping me in felicitous smiles.

The Fire Yellow youth radiates
A spark on the canvas of unending possibilities
Weaving the fine strands of experiences in me.

The Lemon Yellow Warbler chirps
An instinctive dance begins to occur in nature
Deluging me in the joy of rhythm.

The Mellow Yellow Moon breathes
Slowly melting into the notes of a love song
Reflecting its hope in me amidst the darkness.

The Honey Yellow Love awakens
Pulls me slowly towards the beloved
Soaking me in a tempestuous interiority.

The Tuscany Yellow promise of the beyond
Retreats in the shadows as emotions permeate the ground
Expanding the light within my soul.

The Royal Yellow heart abundant in gratitude
Ambulant towards the surrender in love
Carving a bit of you in the reflections of me.

The Amber Yellow words burn in the mind
Carefully witnessing the familiar unravel a new song
And I become a whittled metaphor of the instruments of us.

Look at the stars of this shining Yellow Poem
I take my turn to draw the lines through your candlelight
Consumed in the writings of passion and longing
Bleeding yellow in the frames of promises and let go
I swim the tides of reasons
You jump the gorges of unknown
I walk the path of questions
You cross the horizon of dreams
I ride the waves of awareness
You jump the doors of darkness

Me and you become the collision of the vacant thunder
You and me become the silence of the disappearing thoughts
We turn into skin and bones, coming together in the beauty of namelessness.

The Abundant Yellow Song- is not just an interpretation of the colour yellow, it’s presence and meaning in existence, it’s philosophy in our lives but a seed sown by my all time favourite band “COLDPLAY” . The last paragraph of the poem is a reinterpretation, reimagination, retelling of the lyrics of the song “YELLOW”.
