the lightning crashed into him. it broke him in two. the butterflies appeared. it was darkness. nothing left on this vast world except butterflies.

emptiness and butterflies.

he wondered desperately where they’d all gone. why the loved ones faded away. “where they’d go”, he’ll ask the moon. “to mercury, to a better place”, the moon answered.

naked in the middle of this emptiness, he looked at his reflection. he could perceive his reflection just by looking at the sky.

his body was ivory. nothing covered it. he felt this unknown feeling. one could have called it love, some could have called it peace and others freedom.

standing naked in the middle of this vacancy he felt powerful. he was the only one left on mars. with the butterflies. he had a heart made of butterflies.

now that the sun exploded and the people vanished, he was left alone. with only his mind and body to love. with the sudden realization that this dream ended and this life began.

it was darkness, but he wasn’t afraid. he knew his way in this foreign path. the butterflies he trusted, were leading the way.

he touched himself as if he was gold. in a way that he never touched his body before. in a way that he discovered his beauty for the first time. in a way that he felt utter peace.

he became vulnerable, opening himself to this world he once never knew. the stars reflecting on his eyes. the moon was watching him, guarding him, but he was the one with all the power.

he closed his eyes and hugged himself. he was the most splendid species he ever met, he ever touched, he’d ever been. he fell in love with himself, he finally found what he always wished for, what he desperately searched for his entire life,

till this day.
