Growing up from God made lands
Branches reach out like searching hands
Starting out as just a seed
Watered by Mother Earth
Growing in its natural environment at a lazy speed
Luck bearing from spirits within
Admired by ancient kin
A breath of fresh air and plus mental health, too
Exposure to trees are good for you
Wide near the bottom and nut colored like dirt
Fresh, leafy greens that dazzle and flirt
Relationships with fungi that live in their roots
Many offer food such as luscious fruits
A giant oak can consume gallons of water per day
Perched on its branch is a stunning blue jay
A bark of multi-colors shines rainbow in the sunlight
Blue, orange, and maroon while sparkling bright
The largest of plants in existence
They give and they receive
Anytime I am in one’s presence,
A great awe takes over me
