A journey of valued to valuable
They sought the Archbishop to place
The mighty crown they won.
Unbeknownst, the foxes surveilled;
And schemed the glossy con.
They craved the admiration and
On a humble parade, they lept.
Only to find the world is a stage,
Of mockery and deceit.
So off to the wilderness they dashed;
“May the path flare out to peace.”
Only to unlearn how retreat
Is not the right strategy.
Travesty of truth kills pretense,
If done to the right extent.
Naivety we relish, yet power
We need it for our defense.
Do not expect the archbishop,
To place it on your head!
Do not wait for winds to sail
your ship to the sheltered bank!
Pause not for them to acknowledge
The treasure you deserve!
Know what to do, and do it.
Wear your crown with ardor!
