Why do you scribble?

They ask, “Why do you scribble?

There are things to be done.

For, life is a struggle

And to work you must run.”

Again, “Why do you scribble?

There are people needing care

For, life is a struggle

And your gifts you must share.”

I write, and I scribble.

And I love to work and share,

’Cause life is a struggle

And writing, my fresh air.
