Your Ice-cold Heart

A tribute of song

Sorry seems to be
The hardest word
for me
Don’t go breaking my heart —
As I’m the one you need!

I’m still standing
though, I made the sacrifice
You are the one,
But I believe your cold heart is made of ice.

Can you feel the love tonight
Which floats in empty sky?
just like a rocket man —
Your love
goes drifting by.

My good heart is punished by your hand
A candle in the wind,
Return to paradise, dear one,
Then our love song may begin.

I hope you enjoyed this poem comprised of Elton John’s amazing song titles. You can find an extensive list at List of songs recorded by Elton John — Wikipedia

Carolyn Hastings inspires us to light a candle:

We are living in the digital world, covered in the autonomous aspects & tracked motions of life. Yet, somehow we are losing some critical elements. Keyboards, touchpads, & speech-to-text are there, but we believe that handwritten words on paper is still meaningful to some poets.
