Inhabited Sculptures
HOMINI Studio was founded out of the desire to search for a preciousness beyond the traditional. There are no embellishments. No set stones. Through explorations of the minimal geometry units of line, plane and volume, we look for a new idea of preciousness suited for a contemporary sensibility. A non-referential design language for jewelry based solely on the relationship between elements.
Simplify. Once the unnecessary is eliminated, the necessary may speak. It is not an exercise of simple subtraction, but there is absolutely no excessive addition. Making things as simple as possible but not simpler.
Excite. We believe in the power of beautiful objects to inspire and bring joy to the beholder. The pieces are not decorative. Neither are they representational. They don’t try to match human movement or form. They are meant as small sculptures that live in close proximity to the body.
Materialize. Forms are both bold and delicate, of raw simplicity. Each piece is handcrafted of Sterling Silver, 18K Rose Gold, hypoallergenic Surgical Steel or sanded Plexiglas, with the utmost attention towards detail. Each piece is imperfectly unique.
