Endor: The AWS Glue service adoption and Five new team members to join
Biweekly update 11th June — 26th June
During the last two weeks Endor illustrated high social activity in media landscape. New development update was published and it covers scalability, stability and usability. Endor worked well this month. Also, five new members who have joined the team in the past month were introduced. Endor invited great talents to work with and help scale the business. Endor, way to go!
Endor began to adopt the AWS Glue service (learn more about it here:https://aws.amazon.com/glue/), working closely with the AWS team on further improving Endor’s infrastructure, to support rapid onboarding of new data at 5 times the previous rate, while keeping human intervention to a minimum and avoiding process mistakes.
While scalability enables growth, stability ensures a high service level, and that is something Endor takes very seriously. But being truly dedicated to stability in a hyperelastic cloud environment, with thousands of AWS spot servers crunching raw data entails many challenges. Endor team is continuously working with the AWS team to resolve these challenges, mainly related to the EMR service (learn more about it here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/emr/latest/ManagementGuide/emr-what-is-emr.html).
Endor also plans to focus on increasing product usability for the less technical users, so anyone can use its platform.
Day: June 26 — June 28, 2019
The Defence Science and Technology Agency will be hosting the Singapore Defence Technology Summit (Tech Summit) 2019 to expand on insights gained from the 2018 inaugural summit with the theme “Impact of the 4thIndustrial Revolution on Defence and Security”.
