Ambrosus: Masternodes onboarding process, shaping of the EU blockchain initiatives via INATBA, ecosystem expansion and open-source code adoption
Biweekly update 3rd June — 17th June
“The technical team intends to secure onboarding of 1,000 Apollo and Atlas Masternodes in the coming six months!”
We suspended watching Ambrosus for a while, but the progress of the latter is perceptible as always. During the last two weeks, AMB team worked towards strengthening the overall potential for the project to achieve both decentralisation and adoption — there are already 19 Apollo, 6 Hermes and 63 Atlas nodes. 10th June progress update represents that the other developer teams within Ambrosus have continued to upgrade and maintain the Ambrosus Network with important fixes and enhancements. Moreover, Ambrosus’ recent significant occurrence: a group of rising entrepreneurs from Belgium have successfully created a customised dApp for a local meat producer from their area. The underlying message from Ambrosus regarding these types of activities is one of decentralised access: no matter your background or experience level, Ambrosus provides the tools and infrastructure for you to bring your projects and business ideas to life. Besides, Ambrosus is actively shaping the EU blockchain initiatives via INATBA. The expectation of Ambrosus is to participate in the coming months in the further development of initial standards and policy for this working group and to promote Ambrosus ecosystem. Ambrosus Innovation Lab works on boosting global adoption of AMB-NET. All the processes happening in the company seem to be coherent and cohesive. Community is active in Telegram chat and on Twitter. Nevertheless, there is a slight decrease in the number of followers among their social networks. Look on the bright side with Paradigm!
Development
- Ambrosus becomes a true blockchain ecosystem. Follow Vlad’s new project and welcome Nicolas to Ambrosus crypto adoption. The world’s first blockchain and IoT platform is ramping up. Close cooperation between AMB-NET core team working on the blockchain protocol with the newly created team working on solutions will permit each team to focus on their own area and work collaboratively, yet fully independently, from each other to achieve distinct objectives: AMB-NET will aim to ensure performant, secure and scalable core blockchain protocol and cryptoeconomic model, while the solutions team will be responsible for building software, apps and solutions on top of AMB-NET and other elements of Ambrosus Ecosystem, strengthening the overall potential for the project to achieve both decentralisation and adoption.

- Great progress report from Ambrosus team: the growth of AMB-NET continues, as more masternodes / network participants are onboarded. Also, Ambrosus is actively shaping the EU blockchain initiatives via INATBA.
Network fixes and improvements:
While Masternodes have come to life on AMB-NET, the other developer teams within Ambrosus have continued to upgrade and maintain the Ambrosus Network:
- All system components on all three Networks (Main, Dev, and Test) have been upgraded
- Significant crypto-economic testing has accompanied masternode onboarding and helped enhance future planning
- Information pages on running an Atlas Masternode have been compiled, with only final edits and additions remaining
- The Deterministic Moving Pointer (DMP) smart contract has been successfully implemented on the Atlas Masternodes live on AMB-NET
- A number of small fixes on the Ambrosus Bridge UI have been made, while more technical fixes have been made to ensure a quicker conversion rate.
Ecosystem expansion and open-source code adoption:
- In light of the previous ecosystem growth special, released in the progress report two weeks ago, Ambrosus would like to announce very positive feedback from across the industry: The recent ecosystem growth report has attracted the attention of other automotive ‘part’ manufacturers, including one of the most prominent and well known in Europe. Their specific interest, at this time, revolves around utilizing the Ambrosus platform in tandem with its IoT devices to track shipments of parts to their factories! This is ultimately based upon the lack of trust in the type and quality of materials often sourced in the industry.
- Entrepreneurs are welcome to participate as well. With the in-depth report undergoing final design edits, the Ambrosus Ecosystem Incubator is bustling with activity.
- The Ambrosus growth team has been working with a new partner in the Southeast Asian region. This partner has been developed based upon previous projects Ambrosus has done in the dairy industry in Switzerland. While only limited information can be revealed at this time, the important takeaway is that Ambrosus is quickly expanding its scope beyond Europe to the vast and opportunity-packed region of Asia.
INATBA time:
The focus of the most recent INATBA meeting, in June, was on setting parameters and roadmaps for the organizations’ future growth over the next six months. Most importantly, the June INATBA session confirmed that 45 new applications from blockchain related entities are on track to be checked and eventually approved. The organisation is therefore growing extremely quickly, with such interest indicative of the legitimacy and future potential of INATBA.
For Ambrosus, the INATBA meeting was very much a confirmation and continuation of what had previously been established: Ambrosus is officially 1 of 10 select entities who are guiding the direction and evolution of the Supply Chain Working Group (SC-WG). The expectation of Ambrosus is to participate in the coming months in the further development of initial standards and policy for this working group and to promote Ambrosus ecosystem. More specific goals have been set within the group and in relation to INATBA, of which Ambrosus has remained very active. In the coming months, calls, documents and further collaboration is expected from the various members as the SC-WG gets off the ground!
- Great news ahead of the weekend: Ambrosus is onboarding a new wave of dozens of Ambrosus community Apollo’s and Atlas’es to AMB-NET, while a new Asia-based Hermes will be fired up next week, doubling the bundle generation volume!
Ambrosus is entering a new phase of Ambrosus decentralisation that will permit Ambrosus ecosystem to be self-sufficient, community-driven and free from any central point of command and control. As they are preparing to onboard several waves of Masternodes onto the network that aims to create a market-driven balance of participants incentivised by rewards from the smart-contract-based system, it is time to reveal the progress on the IoT side of Ambrosus Ecosystem and all the achievements of Ambrosus Innovation Lab that is working on boosting global adoption of AMB-NET. As a seminal building block of AMB-NET, AMB-TRACE refers to the sensors, devices, and gateways developed and used by Ambrosus in collaboration with industrial manufacturers, to create a secure and dependable means from which data can be collected from a specific environment and transmitted to a Hermes Masternode on the network.
AMB-TRACE is structured in such a manner whereby sensors are integrated with intelligent devices or a central gateway before all of such data is directed towards a Hermes Masternode via the gateway modules.
Ambrosus Gateways themselves are certified to securely transmit and organize data from the various sensors and devices deployed at both static and dynamic inflexion points. Oftentimes, this process entails the use of big data analytics, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning so as to ensure optimal data transmission to the client companies and App developers.
The following 5 characteristics define the InnoLab’s Gateway Development:
- Marking and Identification: Ambrosus Gateways transmit a unique ID for specific products through the use of serial numbers, 1D (barcodes) and 2D codes as well as Quantum Inks.
- Condition Monitoring: Ambrosus Gateways configure and transmit certified data surrounding conditions at various points of the supply chain: temperature, GPS positioning, humidity, movement (shock), and light.
- Quality Assessment: Ambrosus Gateways are capable of authenticating sensors that perform non-invasive analysis on product compositions and structures.
- Static Sensor Networks: Stationary Ambrosus Gateways efficiently secure and transmit data from field stations, smart farms, and any other related sustainable environment used by producers.
- Integrity Assurance: Ambrosus Gateways check the integrity of all data sent to AMB-NET. This pertains to the physical packaging on the product, the electronic storage of product data, and the quality of data transmitted via various sensors deployed in the field.
Importantly, every gateway is made up of 3 fundamental components: an entry module, a proprietary electronic, and a communication module.
