Announcing Winners of the Collaborative Paradigm x Humanode ‘BioDeFi’ Zealy Campaign

Today, we are thrilled to announce the winners of the BioDeFi campaign on Zealy, a campaign designed to test and reward expertise in this groundbreaking field.

Context

In recent years, Decentralized Finance (DeFi) has seen incredible growth, transforming the financial landscape by offering innovative services in a decentralized and open manner. However, as the DeFi space expanded, it also faced significant challenges, particularly related to identity attacks, such as the notorious Sybil attacks, which threatened its security and trustworthiness.

To combat these critical challenges, Paradigm and Humanode researchers proposed an innovative solution — integrating biometric-based identity verification techniques into DeFi systems. In their comprehensive paper on “Mitigating Identity Attacks in DeFi through Biometric-Based Sybil Resistance,” they outlined how biometrics can be a game-changer in enhancing the security and sustainability of the DeFi ecosystem.

Aiming at deepening participants’ understanding of BioDeFi Paradigm and Humanode hosted the collaborative three-week ‘BioDeFi’ Zealy sprint filled with engaging quests and trivia challenges.
