Welcome to our fresh issue of ‘Cosmos ecosystem biweekly’! We have a bunch of great news for you today!
First and foremost, the ATOM community has successfully deployed the Gravity DEX protocol on Cosmos Hub. Gravity DEX marks the biggest stride forward for Cosmos to date and a big step in realizing our vision for the future of crypto: multiple interconnected blockchains. On top of that, Tendermint announced Emeris, a one-stop portal for all crypto apps, no matter what blockchain they run on. The beta version of Emeris will be launched this month and will let users experience cross-chain DeFi like never before.
Good news is, the Interchain Foundation and BlockScience announced a partnership to bring robust complex systems engineering to the Cosmos stack. Furthermore, to achieve the Interchain Sustainability mission, Interchain Foundation & ixo are now implementing a multi-year program of R&D, advocacy and strategic collaborations, together with Informal Systems, Regen Network, BlockScience and others.

Over these two weeks, two governance proposals have successfully passed: The proposal #51 for the adoption of the Gravity DEX protocol to the Cosmos Hub and proposal #50 that asked Atom delegators to allow the changes of block parameter values to extend the block capacity of the Cosmos Hub so that it can mitigate a reasonable amount of transactions processed within a block. Proposal #52 ‘ATOM x Osmosis: Allocate Community Pool to ATOM Liquidity Incentives’ is in the voting period. Don’t forget to vote!

Bringing DeFi to Cosmos: The Gravity DEX protocol is live
The Gravity DEX protocol is finally live, marking the biggest stride forward for Cosmos to date. Users will be able to experience the protocol when Emeris, the first platform to support it, launches in beta later this month.

This proposal was a Request For Comment from the ATOM community regarding the activation of the Gravity Bridge module onto the Cosmos Hub.
This is a parameter governance proposal that asks Atom delegators to allow the changes of block parameter values to extend the block capacity of the Cosmos Hub so that it can mitigate a reasonable amount of transactions processed within a block.
This on-chain upgrade governance proposal is to adopt the Gravity DEX protocol on the Cosmos Hub.

Interchain Foundation
BlockScience and Interchain Foundation Complex Systems R&D Partnership for Cosmos
The Interchain Foundation and BlockScience announced a partnership to bring robust complex systems engineering to the Cosmos stack.
To date, the Interchain Foundation has made significant investments in the correctness of core Cosmos components, including formal verification and model-based testing of the Tendermint consensus protocol and light client, and more recently the Inter-blockchain communication protocol.
BlockScience is the premier mathematical engineering firm in the blockchain industry, authoring the open source cadCAD software suite and applying rigorous data-driven methodologies to the design and analysis of complex systems involving distributed human and machine agents.
This collaboration will expand the Cosmos verification effort to include economic systems engineering with an initial focus first on the creation of a digital twin for the Cosmos staking system and forthcoming extensions of the staking model, staking derivatives and shared security.

- BCIP-2: BandChain Laozi Mainnet Official Upgrade Proposal: BandChain Phase 2 Proposal is here, the final step before the Mainnet upgrade.
- The Band team has been working with validators to resolve a memory issue with thevalidator’s servers, the team is rolling back the chain to GuanYu for the time being to ensure a smooth migration to the Mainnet without any issues — even if deemed minor.
