Dragonchain Defines Interoperability with Interchain

The lack of industry consensus regarding definitions and standards continues to be a running theme in driving confusion in the dialogue being driven by the media, especially in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Two recent examples from Forbes and Cointelegraph, two of the media industry’s leaders:

  1. In August 2019, Michael del Castillo of Forbes published “Hyperledger Unanimously Approves First Ethereum Codebase for Enterprises” article. The article framed Hyperledger as the first platform to connect to a public blockchain.
  2. The following week, Cointelegraph published an article titled, “Blockchain Interoperability, Explained.” Author Stephen O’Neal wrote: “Currently, one blockchain has no knowledge of information that might exist in a different blockchain.” O’Neal also stated that Dragonchain is among the projects “working toward establishing blockchain interoperability.”

For those following Dragonchain, it is clear that these authors are unaware of Dragonchain’s uncontested leadership position in blockchain interoperability, also known as Interchain™. In this post, the team will break down their Interchain history, upcoming Interchains, and upcoming traditional interoperability on-chain or in a smart contract. Interchain, as Dragonchain defines it, is much more than a one-dimensional definition.
