TL;DR

Arbitrum two-dimensional gas fees: L1 calldata fees + L2 computational usage. Arbitrum Odyssey promotion paused due to high gas fees from capacity throttling, will resume after Nitro upgrade. MetisDAO Foundation 2nd Half Year Roadmap 2022: The vision of MetisDAO Foundation has remained the same since Day 1: the team is determined to build robust infrastructure to backbone and power the Web3 economy. The Foundation is coordinating with several community developer teams and utilizing the bottom-up approach to convert the infrastructure of Metis into concrete products, which will be presented in three layers:

-Smart Layer 2 — A solid, scalable, cheap, and decentralized technical infrastructure to act as the transaction layer, which is secure enough for everyone to use, smart enough to support the sudden increase of user flow, and robust enough to run and sustain DApps and the Web3 economy.

-Reputation Power (RP) — The most fundamental and decentralized identity infrastructure in the Web3 world, to demonstrate each member’s credibility, trustworthiness, level of engagement across multiple chains/ecosystems/metaverses, and their social contribution to specific areas.

-Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC) — An individual-centric, decentralized framework to support and facilitate every person’s collaborations in the Web3 world, which will be on-chain, Reputation Power based, and open for community members to co-build and co-govern.

With the optimization of network and infrastructure components, new product launches and mass adoption will be the key and focus for the 2nd half of 2022.
