- With Bedrock just around the corner and OP Summer beginning to take off there’s a lot to be Optimistic about. Optimism Kovan has been deprecated in favor of Optimism Goerli. On October 5th, Optimism Kovan will be fully decommissioned. To encourage all projects to migrate in advance of this deadline the team will be decreasing the rate limit on the Optimism Kovan public endpoint. Video: Optimism for non-techies. - Chainlink Price Feeds are now live on Metis, helping provide the DeFi ecosystem with high-quality price data: The team announced that Chainlink Price Feeds, the industry-leading data solution for the DeFi economy, is now live on Metis Andromeda. Smart contract developers can now secure their applications with high-quality, decentralized price data natively on Metis, helping them to build highly scalable, low-cost, and feature-rich applications. Metis Marathon Community Campaign: As part of the Metis Marathon Builder Incentive program, MetisDAO foundation introduced the Marathon Community Campaign. - Aztec Community Call 3 Recap. It’s been just over one month since launching Aztec Connect, the VPN for Ethereum. Here are the highlights so far. Aztec to support Nucleo in enabling private multisigs on Ethereum.
- Plonky2 is now open-source: Plonky2 is one of the major recent breakthroughs in zero-knowledge cryptography. As of today, it is open-source and free for developers to use. Recently, Polygon introduced ZkEVM, an EVM compatible Zero Knowledge (ZK) rollup, during EthCC in Paris. British rock band, Muse, will release their next album as a limited-edition NFT on Serenade, an NFT platform built on Polygon. The album, called “Will of the People”, will be released on August 26. Mercedes Benz Group’s Singapore hub, Daimler South East Asia, launched Acentrik, a blockchain-based data sharing network built on Polygon.
