eWallet Update November 12, 2018: the “The Light That Burns Twice As Bright” edition:
Some members of the team were at the Devcon last week, supporting the release of the Plasma Dog demo and connecting with other projects in the space. On a more technical note, here are the various improvements they’ve made since last update:
- Implemented full verification flow for admin email update (#511)
- Fixed match_any not being picked up while fetching records (#504)
- Fixed improper error handling for filtering of disallowed fields (#506)
- Fixed filtering bug that returned duplicate records (#508)
- Fixed filtering error on /api/admin/account.get_wallets (#514)

Social encounters
OmiseGO goes to Devcon 4 with an internal testnet, a plasma MVP and a pixelated dog: a recap of OmiseGo time at Devcon4.
The OmiseGO team was there for all four days.
Some highlights from the team:
- A few team members headed to Prague a few days prior to Devcon 4. They were at the Status hackathon that took place on 26–28 October 2018 where they provided an overview of Plasma, Plasma MVP and Plasma Cash. This was briefly mentioned in October community update here.
- The team also attended the Layer 2 Scalability meetup where various projects discussed the different scalability approaches per use case (e.g., Plasma, payment channels), the differences between ‘Plasma Flavors’ as well as the need for more collaborative research across projects.
- With Hoard, the team shared the first live proof of concept (PoC) built on OmiseGO’s internal OMG testnet at Devcon 4, a game demo called Plasma Dog.
- On the last day of Devcon 4, Kelvin and David gave talks on “The State of Plasma”, taking the audience on a journey; traveling back to the past, coming to the present and looking to the future of plasma. If you’ve never heard of plasma, check LearnPlasma.

Roadmap
State of the OMG Ecosystem. In this blog post, the team attempts to summarize the different elements of OmiseGO and the OMG ecosystem, captures key developments over the past months and provides some information on where they’re going . It might seem like a repeat of the Official Guide, but this is more succinct and offers updates. Additionally, they included an updated roadmap with key milestones. And they’ve been working with community members as well on the OMG project tracker to track progress on a smaller timescale.

OmiseGo signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on November 13th with Mass Vehicle Ledger (MVL), the company behind the popular ride-hailing app TADA. The agreement will see the two companies collaborate on research and technical development. The two companies hope to develop a strong proof-of-concept (POC) for how blockchain, and the OmiseGo platform specifically, can improve the TADA app. The collaboration might even see the two working together to bring crypto payments to the taxi service.
100k Taxi Users Could OmiseGo TADA Soon: A popular taxi app, with more than 100,000 users in Singapore, thinks it can improve its service using cryptocurrency and blockchain. The financial services platform, OmiseGO (OMG), has agreed to explore possible use cases with them. The collaboration might even see the two working together to bring crypto payments to the taxi service. OmiseGO signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) today with Mass Vehicle Ledger (MVL), the company behind the popular ride-hailing app TADA. The agreement will see the two companies collaborate on research and technical development. The hope is the two companies will develop a strong proof-of-concept (POC) for how blockchain, and the OMG platform specifically, can improve the TADA app.
“We are pleased to sign an MOU with MVL to deliver a POC for their ride hailing service TADA,” said OmiseGO’s managing director, Vansa Chatikavanij. “This serves as a step forward in our efforts to showcase the potential and benefits of the technologies.”
