Tezos: New grant issued, Kraken listing announcement and the launch of free online course

Shared some current plans about the Foundation’s funds and asset management: “Currently, the Foundation holds approximately $500 million in assets, making Tezos one of the most well-funded blockchain projects worldwide. The Foundation has already started to diversify a part of its non-XTZ portfolio into liquid and lower-risk asset classes and will continue to do so in order to lay the foundation for long-term stability and availability of funds to fulfill its mandate”. Article on Tezos at TokenTops: “Tezos Expect To Have 1,000 Trained Tezos-focused Programmers By 2019 — Tezos News”, announcing that Tezos Foundation will be committing funds to encourage the training of at least 1,000 developers so they can create software for the Tezos (XTZ) ecosystem. The Tezos Commons Foundation, a non-profit foundation dedicated to the growth and education of the Tezos community, announced the availability of an massive, open, online course focused on training developers to build decentralized applications on the Tezos blockchain. On the 18th of October, The Tezos Foundation announced that it has issued a grant to OCamlPro to support its work on TzScan, a block explorer for the Tezos blockchain that will be made open-source. OCamlPro is a French company and R&D lab focused on OCaml and blockchain development. More information can be found here.

Korean “Coinone” exchange has announced Tezos to be the first coin supported by “Coinone Node” — a reward plan for PoS coins.
