On Being in a Catacomb

When radical change is the death of who you were

I used to wonder whether I was in a catacomb or a cocoon. They look the same from the outside. They look the same from the inside, too. Dark. The stone or organic walls block out perception.

The catacomb is a grave and the cocoon is a birthing place, where the caterpillar…
