There are reasons for the names chosen in my story. For example, a character with the initial J and an apostrophe (J’) indicates that person is a dream mage. Each prefix identifies the character’s defining skill.

Some very few though, like Meiaht, are simply called wizards. The reasoning here is because such characters have the ability to wield the majick of anyone in their proximity. That makes them much sought after as teachers.

Below are some of the conventions I use in the story. Also included are some glossary terms. This is not finished list; I’m sure things will be added as the story progresses.

Conventions

Kroi’ = heart majicks (“kroi” means heart in Irish) and that person is a healing mage. A Kroí sorcerer/sorceress is a full empath

Lue’ = fire

Sha’ = sound or song mage

Tir’ = earth or land mage

J’ = dream mage. Dream sorcerers can “dream” in other minds. J’Ramzœ is a dream sorcerer but has not ever…
