Chp 2, Pt 1 — The Saga of Terashan & the Crystal Empires

He drifted in that place he thought of as the in-between. It would be so easy to just let go. Let go of what?

Enwrapped in silence, he was carried on eddies of memory, pieces of himself seeping out of him like many-colored strands of light. Rustling, muffled sounds rose in the silence. Warmth from beyond the in-between flooded around him like an embrace. His mind reached for a strand of brilliant purple and drew it back into himself.

The in-between is the Dreamer’s most difficult path back to corporeal self, a self he must remember to be able to reach. The sounds came to him more distinct, resolving into distant voices, familiar and comforting voices. The voices knew him. And, he remembered those voices.

A radiance surrounded him and the strands of light flowed back into him as he remembered… I am J’Ramzoe.
