Parallel Planets is back in orbit!

We’re sorry we’ve gone to Outer Space without notifying anyone within our radar, but hey — we never really left. We’re back and now that we’re on our third year, we’re going to make everything blacker and whiter.

For the past few months before Parallel Plants went on an unannounced hiatus, we slowly transitioned our content to highlighting artists who use monochrome as their main medium. Now that we have a new home on the Internet, the all-new Parallel Planets web site — which you’re viewing now — will continue to focus with all things black & white. With this said, we’re going to be minimizing our scope, but along with it is maximizing our features as well.

Beginning now, what you can expect from our pages are lengthy interviews with artists, thematic essays and exclusive stories from our team of writers, and specially selected submissions from various creatives around the world.

From now on, too, we’re using Medium as our primary platform to emphasize the two things we aim and love to share: visuals and verbiage.

And since we’re kind of restarting with a blank slate, Parallel Planets is in dire need of new original content. Our international call for creative contributions is now open again to everyone. Read the complete guidelines and requirements here.

And last, but definitely not the least, the old Parallel Planets web site is and will remain intact, but it won’t be updated with new posts anymore. You may also follow Parallel Planets on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

That's it for now. Thank you for supporting us since 2013 and we hope you'll continue orbiting with us in the days to come.
