A Report on the Pilot

The research team at NORC at the University of Chicago, who were largely responsible for designing the question set and the technology behind Parent Gauge, prepared a report detailing the psychometric properties of Parent Gauge. Using data from the pilot testing in spring 2017, NORC was able to scientifically measure the strong validity and reliability of the Parent Gauge tool, proving that it meets our high standard of quality at Head Start. In the coming years, NHSA intends to replicate this work with an even larger sample size and to conduct additional research projects to continuously improve the tool itself. Stay tuned for more details coming soon, including a summary report of average scores from year 1 of implementation!
