Join our new event co-hosted with Target!

We have partnered up with Target Open House to co-host a panel discussion where founders of award-winning parenting devices will discuss how new technologies like AI, smart hardware or Augmented Reality can be used to increase child’s physical and mental health and ease the parenting journey.

After the panel you will also have a chance to try their products during live demos and ask more specific questions about the underlying technology.

Line-up includes:

Panelist Janica Alvarez, CEO of Naya Health

Founded by a mother of three and a scientist by training, Naya Health creates an innovative breast pump. The Naya pump is portable, more comfortable and claimed to help mothers produce 30% more milk than with the traditional pump.

Panelist Rachel Rutherford, Chief Product Officer at Seedling

Seedling is the maker of Parker — an Augmented Reality Bear that aims to unlock a new way to foster creativity and skills through play. With no WiFi, camera and batteries, Parker activates augmented reality effects to create an interactive world and train child’s STEM skills.

Panelist Eric Dy, CEO of Bloomlife

Bloomlife is a smart pregnancy wearable that allows mothers to visualize, track and time contractions in a new way, discover their baseline and gain the reassurance that everything is on track.

Panelist Dr. Lamont Tang, CEO of Oyalabs

Oyalabs is creating Oto — a neuroscience-based and affordable monitoring platform to empower parents to track their child’s learning environment from home in the critical 0–5 period and receive personalized advice how to improve it.

Moderator Kate Whitcomb, Program Director, HAX Growth

As an expert in the world of hardware startups incubated at HAX and a new mother, Kate brings her unique perspective and will ask our panelists questions we’re all wondering about — including safety and privacy of the products but also personal stories behind each of the companies.
