Take a minute for yourself to reset your breath and calm your nervous system by doing some square breathing. Square breathing is a great relaxation technique that you can do any time.

  1. Inhale — 4 seconds
  2. Hold your breath — 4 seconds
  3. Exhale — 4 seconds
  4. Hold your breath — 4 seconds

Do this at least 4 times and see how you feel! You can follow along with the image below. Once you get the hang of it, try it out with your child.
