Turn Taking
Have you played a simple game of hide-and-seek with your little one lately? It’s amazing how a parent “hiding” behind the skinny floor lamp gives their child such joy when “found”.
Children learning how to take and wait for turns doesn’t come naturally. This skill can take lots of practice to develop and with hide-and-seek being an all-time favourite game to play, especially when a parent is involved in the fun, your little one will want this game on repeat. Get the whole family involved — hide a beloved stuffed animal and work in teams to discover it.
The more chances your little one has to practice turn taking, the easier it will be to, well, take turns.
