After a 3-month program here at PARISOMA, all 13 startups from The Refiners Fleet #2 pitched their projects in front of a large crowd of people including investors, mentors and startupers.

Created last year, The Refiners is a 3-month acceleration program specifically designed to immerse startup founders from abroad in Silicon Valley culture. Geraldine, Carlos and Pierre, all three formerly entrepreneurs, have finalized earlier this year their $6.8M fund from BPI, VC funds — Partech, Idinvest, Newfund — and tech entrepreneurs — Xavier Niel, Phil Libin and Frédéric Mazzella.

Their goal is to fill the need of entrepreneurs willing to make the first step here in the Valley without risking to take 6-month to meet the right people, understand the right cultural mindset and get an office in the right coworking. In 12 weeks, the goal is to be ready to go after the U.S. market.

Among fleet #2, you could find:
Gabsee, a mobile app that allows users to express themselves through their own avatar in Augmented Reality;
Wezr, the first connected weather sensor that rectifies the weather forecasts continuously based on crowdsource data;
WingIt, a multichannel, real time and geo located event recommendation service;
Jogabo, an app that enables soccer players and enthusiasts to discover, organize, and join soccer games around the world;
The Beans, an app letting you build an accurate and achievable financial plan in minutes.
