Parity Platform to co-host Windmission Greece 2019
The Voice of Renewables and Parity Platform are organizing WINDMission Greece 2019 conference to be held in Athens on 14/15 October at the American College of Greece.
WINDMission Greece conference is organised under the auspices of Hellenic Wind Energy Association ELETAEN / HWEA.
Greece enjoys a remarkable wind resource with local average wind speeds (at hub height) often exceeding the 8–10 m/s, especially in the Aegean Sea islands and on mountain ridges on the mainland. More than 3 GW of wind capacity has already been installed and is operating in Greece, while 4 billion € of additional investments are expected by 2030, given national and EU RES penetration targets.
As the country is pushing hard to speed up development of its wind energy capacity, WINDMission Greece will gather together Greek wind energy stakeholders and provide excellent networking opportunities across the entire spectrum, from legislation makers through investors and EPCs.
The conference will discuss the most important topics of the day including:
1. Policy actions and regulations to accelerate wind energy development
2. Project financing: Commercial Banks and Alternatives
3. Off-Shore Development: Model cases and progress in Greece for floating and bottom fixed Installations
4. On-shore Development: Current challenges for EPC, O&M and Asset Management
