During the presidential election campaign, Donald Trump’s rhetoric around cities was that inner cities are places experiencing crime and devastation. During the second debate Trump said cities are “a disaster education-wise, job-wise, safety-wise, in every way possible.”

We sat down to talk about this issue with Kristen Jeffers, the author of A Black Urbanist, co-host of the Third Wave Urbanism podcast and public speaker on urban policy issues.
