Customer Service Week this year kicked off on Monday 7th October worldwide with the theme “The Magic of Service”. The theme recognizes that good service is magical.

As an organization, it is that time of the year to appreciate the customer experience. It’s a week to celebrate the people who make it happen and thank the customers who are the reason we do it.

Each customer considers himself to be the main customer and expects that he will get on-request and priority service.

Customers ceaselessly expect us to prioritize their needs over those of different customers, and to basically do whatever they ask because they see themselves as kings.

Good customer service starts on the inside with the company’s culture. At the beginning of the year, we made commitments to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

Over time, we provide support through chat, emails and phone calls but we had to move from being reactive to being more proactive and versatile in our approach towards customer complaints.

We agreed something had to change, and we took the first step in emphasizing these words; “Empathy and Responsiveness” #TheMagicOfService. More than just the words, this demanded a change in the way we work, to reflect and support the needs of our customers who are looking at Parkway Projects not only as their financial services provider but as an innovative financial services provider for their business needs.

New customers, new agents, more outbound and inbound calls, 7 days a week service. We threw all these at various teams and we’re very proud of the top-level support we have provided since the beginning of the year. We may crack and groan, but we certainly won’t break in our resolve to deliver #TheMagicOfService to every customer.

So as we give ourselves a little pat on our backs in recognition on how far we’ve come, we would like to thank our customers who have made us their preferred financial services provider. We know we wouldn’t exist without you. Thank you and remember, WE VALUE YOU!
