Can an App revolutionize agriculture? DTA-Agrícola has shown that this is possible by developing a digital platform that not only gives farmers all the information needed to work, but also helps to reduce the consumption of water and fertilizer by 30%.
This innovative artificial intelligence allows farmers to have greater control of their irrigation systems and facilitates smart decision making.
It may seem like a complicated App, however, it is surprisingly simple and practical, to the extent that anyone can make use of it and completely change their quality of life.
“We try to provide the agricultural producer with a tool that allows them to manage their fields safely by also allowing them to reduce consumption and costs in many ways,” mentioned Cosme Santiesteban, CEO of DTA-Agrícola.
Cosme Santiesteban, entrepreneur and professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, belongs to the wide expert network at the Tech Based Incubation Program at Parque Tecnológico Orión. He advises other entrepreneurs with their Startups on the technical field since 2020.
Santiesteban has a bachelor’s degree in microelectronics and a doctorate in artificial intelligence. Moreover, he has a wide expertise on project and team coordination. All of these has allowed him to establish DTA-Agrícola as a socially responsible business which contributes to the creation of shared value.
His goal is to raise people’s awareness through his advice and entrepreneurship, which allows him to positively impact the communities where DTA-Agrícola has reached.
