Pin México: Pin your service, pin your life
According to the World Youth Employment Report 2020 of the International Labor Organization, there are 9.4 million unemployed young people, and more than 30 million only find employment in informal conditions in Latin America and the Caribbean. Pin México is a breath of hope and an opportunity for all young people who are just starting to enter the labor, digital and formal market. Pin México is an application where all professionals or second-hand workers can have a job board so that clients can see it and thus either hire them or request immediate service according to the worker that is needed.
Pin México takes into account three of the sustainable development objectives as a guide and motivation for the development of its project. Equality, since its application would not discriminate against anyone, all men and women with a previous degree certificate would have the same opportunity to enter and register. Economic growth since the application would be a facilitator between professional and client, creating a collaborative economy and therefore there would be growth, progress, and improvement for both sides. Education, since within the platform would provide courses, which upon completion leave them with quality certifications, placing a badge on their profile showing that they completed the workshop, thus giving them more formality and professionalism.
The platform would be available on any device, whether iOS or Android. Among the benefits that users would have are the digitalization of their image and service, positioning in the digital and formal market, quality certifications and professionalism, communication between professionals, networking, and greater transparency regarding invoices, quotes, and services that are sent and saved within the app.
The idea was born by Enrique Terrazas, an engineering student in innovation and development, who traveled to Switzerland and worked in an entrepreneurship course, and with Jorge Ángeles, a finance expert, agreed to start developing the idea. They started the first steps or actions like finding someone to support the team like Genaro Martínez, a software developer, who joined them later.
This year they decided to apply for a scholarship in Nova Orion, in its vertical Data & Al in the Orion Technology Park. They have had several analyses and due to the changing environment and saturated market today, the team of Pin Mexico decided that it was best to verify various future and feasibility aspects before starting with the development of the project, despite all this what most inspires them to continue is the impact they would achieve on all young professionals and reduce informal employment in Mexico and help its economy.
