Virginia’s old face was set in a deep frown as she waddled up to her house at the top of the steep road. Her nutmeg face was set in a determined expression, her frown only deepening at the sound of her sister’s voice. Rosalind, who was also elderly, lagged behind Virginia. She cursed under her breath as her older sister continued to scurry away, confused at how her thin legs…
