Announcing Parsec Frontiers

A virtual galaxy MMO blockchain creating a transparent, user-controlled virtual economy

As passionate game developers for close to 30 years we believe blockchain technology has finally matured to enable the disruption of virtual economies in online game worlds. Which is why we have been working on the logical next step for blockchain gaming: A full-blown MMO with all assets accounted for and made transferable on a blockchain.

Using blockchain technology, Parsec Frontiers finally lets users take back control from gaming companies, allowing more precise pricing of virtual items and assets in a completely transparent economy.

Players can explore the Milky Way galaxy, extract and trade resources, freight goods, attack others at their own peril, manufacture new and more advanced objects, research technology, create or join alliances and utilize ownership of space stations and resource extraction rights to expand their empire and wealth.

The currency for facilitation of trade and measure of wealth are Parsec Credits [PRSC], a utility token which is used for transactions on trading exchanges throughout the galaxy, for transactions between players and with the backend system.

The promise of Web 3.0 gaming is here to stay, and Parsec Frontiers aims to be a major showcase of blockchain technology in gaming.

We’re excited to introduce Parsec Frontiers — which is our contribution to the emerging Blockchain Gaming trend — and to announce that we will be holding a Pre-Sale in January 2018 and Crowd Sale in April 2018.

PRSC will be used to power the Parsec Frontiers game client, to enable early backers to acquire the first initial assets in the game through spaceship and colony rights auctions, as well as early access into the game — a major advantage before the general public receives access to the game world.

Parsec Frontiers is a project developed by established game developer Artplant in Norway and Russia, founded in 2001 and with previous games with more than 25 million players — including hits such as Block’n’Load and Battlestar Galactica Online.
