Nightmares of the Persecuted Tenant

Eavesdropping on the meek,
Her bills paid, yet rich brats in disarray,
Complain about cobwebs living in old houses of clay,
Their wealth can’t hide the greedy spirit that’s here to stay,
Slanders rise in gossip columns with each passing day
Nightmares their constant companion that does not stray,
Haunting whistles remind them of how much they betray,
They publicly persecute, spew venom, in lit rags on full display.
