Blog 1 — Participatory Cultures
Go on a forum, sign up and explain experience.
I visited a variety of forums online and found a good forum website called ‘Daily Strength’ (http://www.dailystrength.org/) It’s a forum website with a very wide range of topics and can assure you that you will find at least 1 topic that you can relate to and interact with.
When signing up for ‘Daily Strength’ there are 4 steps.
The first step is entering basic details (name, email etc) and then advances to get to know the user better

In addition to this, you have to verify your email so the forum knows you’re not a robot or a hacker.

My experience of being on the forum was interesting because I never knew how big the community was and how many topics were suggested on the home page.
I also liked the fact that this website categorized their forums for niche audiences too, I believe it makes the website more welcoming and interesting.
From visiting these parts of the web, it made me realise that forums make the internet a more friendlier/better place because they bring people closer together due to the fact we can talk/solve our problems with each other.
Here is a list of how many categories Daily Strengths recommends..
