In March 2020, we shared the Draft Good Practice Principles for Deliberative Processes for Public Decision Making for discussion and comment. We received 131 comments from civil society, governments, academics, and practitioners. Thank you to everyone who took the time to review the draft principles and provide us with insightful feedback! Your inputs have been very valuable.

We have carefully considered the comments and have updated the principles, which will be published on 10th June in the OECD report Innovative Citizen Participation and New Democratic Institutions: Catching the Deliberative Wave.

In this document, we have clustered and summarised the comments received that are of a similar nature, with references to the relevant comments, and have provided responses to the clustered comments.

You can access the original consultation document here. We also received other submissions via email that can be accessed here.

Sign up to receive an update when the report is available.
