Partisia Chrome Wallet

The Partisia Blockchain MPC Wallet is now available as a Chrome Extension for your browser. With this extension you are able to create and manage your private keys, addresses, and access any Dapps that run on the Partisia Blockchain.
This wallet is built to be secure. Whenever a Dapp wants to perform a transaction and write to the blockchain, the user gets a secure interface to review the transaction, before approving or rejecting it. Additionally, all the source code is publicly available and can be seen on Gitlab: https://gitlab.com/partisiaapplications/partisia-wallet-extension
To install and run this extension please install from the Chrome webstore:
Once the extension is installed simply click the partisia logo from the extension menu on the top right of your browser. A popup will open and you will be able to create a new address or import an existing one.
Creating a New Wallet
Creating a wallet is very simple. You can create a wallet the traditional way by clicking “New Wallet” where you will be given a randomly generated mnemonic phrase. This is very important to keep secure and private, as it will be used to restore your funds if you ever switch browsers or devices.
Alternatively, you can login using your gmail and /or twitter account. A Partisia address will be generated for you behind the scenes. With this method you will be able to send or receive tokens directly to your gmail or twitter handle. The below example shows sending a token to the @partisiampc twitter handle.
Understanding Gas Balance
To perform any transactions on the Partisia Blockchain you need to pay for them with gas. Gas is an internal currency that is only used to pay for transactions. The only way to fund your account with gas is to buy it through an external source. Furthermore it is not possible to move gas around between your accounts.
Creating a New Token
Anyone can create new tokens on Chain. All that need to specified is a numeric token symbol and a quantity.
Token Interactions
If you are the owner of the token there are seven ways to interact with the standard token contract: transfer, destroy, mint, split, pause, and resume.
- Transfer: simply sending an amount of tokens to a specific address
- Destroy: burns a certain number of tokens that you own. Can be used as a deflationary mechanism
- Mint: creates new tokens under the same symbol. You own all newly minted tokens
- Split: increased the number of tokens across all current holders of a token by a specified factor. Similar in nature to a stock split
- Pause: locks the token and prevents anyone from making any transfers
- Resume: un-pauses a token and allows transfers to continue
