In my 30 years on this earth I have come across many companies — some good, some bad, some that make you regret ever working there. Weighing the positives and negatives, I have always striven to see the “bright side” of every place I’ve worked. That’s why it’s dumbfounding for me to come across a “company” like PartnerHero. In my short time here, I have experienced an organizational culture that I never imagined possible. Instead of coworkers who work together with varying degrees of enthusiasm, the environment here is like a family working together. I put the word company in quotations because to me, this place is so much more than that, and I love it!

Some may say it’s hyperbolic to claim that I feel like a part of this family in such short time, but that’s the honest truth. And it’s all your fault :) Making a point to be so welcoming and help me find a niche with my other brothers and sisters on my team — is it any wonder I feel like I’m at home? I could not have asked for a better welcome.

That’s not to say that it’s not a little intimidating here. Witnessing the efficiency and mastery of my team as they work in their areas of expertise is daunting, to say the least. The way they seamlessly work towards a united goal and combine efforts to conserve resources is truly incredible. And the family “dad,” our supervisor (just a little office humor, please don’t fire me!), keeps a vigilant eye on the family and makes sure that if one of us is slipping he can step in to give us positive feedback and keep us on the right track.

Working here has entirely changed my perception of organizational culture. From our Team Lead and Coach taking the time everyday to greet us personally and even share a joke or two to release tension to the sheer camaraderie I’ve seen between the entire company since I’ve been here — this is something altogether different from what I’ve seen in the past. I’m used to jobs where people are rude and discourteous, where people try to stymie others out of jealousy or fear. Here everyone is quick to jump in and help at a moment’s notice. If a customer has a unique request, there is no shortage of coworkers willing to help find a solution that makes everyone happy. I now have a completely new understanding of the kind of cohesion and teamwork that is possible in a work environment, and I am both grateful and inspired.

I’m so elated to be a part of what I now call PartnerFamily. I will try to the best of my abilities to fulfill everyone’s expectations. Not because I have to, but because I am determined to warrant your acceptance and earn my place in this incredible family!
