About Steve Pierce

Learn more about the man behind the microphone

Steve Pierce is a Democratic strategist and communications consultant—and of course, the host of Party People.

Currently, Steve is a director at Hattaway Communications, where he advises visionary leaders in the fields of politics, advocacy and philanthropy on matters of message and strategy. In 2016, he also led statewide communications for Hillary Clinton during the closing weeks of the presidential election in the nation’s most surprising battleground state, Utah.

Before joining Hattaway, Steve worked in political campaigns — most recently at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, where he oversaw rapid response efforts and developed messages and media strategies for 21 top-tier U.S. House races in the Northeast.

Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in political management from The George Washington University. When he’s not working or podcasting, he enjoys spending his free time with his three great loves — his wife, Jessie; his son, Cohen; and the game of basketball.
