Are you where you want to be?

If you had to do one job for the rest of your life, would you be happy with the one you’re doing now? If not, then why are you still doing it?

As children we dream and we dream big. We believe, that we can be anything we want to be. We focus on things that excite us and decide that is what we are going to do.

So what changed?

Somewhere along the line we stop believing we can be an astronaut or an olympic gold medal winner and instead focus on the safer options, the ones society tells us are more achievable.

So we work hard, we get those jobs, but instead of being happy, we are left unfulfilled. Sure we can pay the rent and have a car but there’s a hole that all those things will never fill. That hole is the space we leave for our passions.

Passion is what makes our souls come to life and we are at our most happiest when doing it. Can you imagine every day, waking up to go to work and feeling excited? Wouldn’t you love a job where you don’t care if it runs over by an hour or two? This is possible for everyone.

After you read this I want you to turn off your tv, your phone, your laptop and really think about what your passion is. Then close your eyes and picture yourself in the future, doing that passion for a career. What does it look like?

Afterwards, open your eyes and on a piece of paper, write what you need to do to get to that future. It is possible and it will happen if you put in the time and effort.
