Pastel Testnet Faucet Release
We are happy to announce that we have launched our Pastel Testnet Faucet that enables users to obtain LSP (Pastel Testnet tokens) to experiment with and develop in the Pastel Testnet environment. Since the Pastel Testnet is an independent network, separate from the Pastel Mainnet, it requires its own tokens (LSP).
The faucet is a web-based service that provides LSP to users of the Pastel Testnet. While these tokens have no ‘real world’ value, they enable users to experiment with Pastel Testnet features, without having to spend real PSL on the Mainnet.
How to Access Pastel Network’s Tesnet Faucet?
The Pastel Testnet Faucet can be accessed at the address below.

To request tokens using the faucet:
- Create a Testnet Faucet account.
- Click new Testnet Faucet Request.
- Enter the Pastel Testnet address of the account where you want to receive LSP (Note: A limit of 50,000 LSP per request exists).
- Submit Request. Funds will be in the Testnet account you specified within a few minutes.

What is Pastel Network’s Testnet?
First, what is a Testnet? A Testnet is an essential tool for blockchain / web3 developers. It is a development environment where applications and protocols can be designed and refined without any potential harm to the main network (Mainnet).
Pastel Testnet provides testing tools designed to let developers test their applications and new Pastel Network features with reduced risks and limitations.
All Pastel Core programs default to the main network when run with no arguments. However, for development, it’s both safer and cheaper to use Pastel’s Testnet where the PSL spent have no real-world value. Testnet also relaxes some restrictions (such as standard transaction checks) so you can test functions, which might currently be disabled by default on Mainnet.
What is a Testnet Faucet?
A Testnet faucet is web-based service that gives free tokens to clients of the Testnet who are testing new features, staking via Supernodes, or integrating with external applications.
In some cases, like with Ethereum Testnet tokens, you can obtain “Ether” through a MetaMask wallet very simply. For other tokens, you will have to use a web-based site, which is just as easy. The only added step is registering for the faucet site itself.
