Planning the video production
During the next critique session’s speed dating we are supposed to receive feedback from our philanthropy application. Based on the feedback we receive, we are supposed to create a storyboard and start a video production. We already did some storyboarding during the 4th lecture, but we haven’t decided which storyboard we are going to use for out prototype.
Some of the example prototypes we have created:

Video production
Traditionally video production process has three different phases: Pre-production, Production and post-production. We have concentrated on the pre-production phase where the script is broken down into individual scenes where all the locations, props, cast members, costumes, special effects and visual effects are identified. We created several pieces of storyboads for a 30-second video. The template storyboard we used consisted of 8 scenes. When we drew storyboards, we had to think about the camera angles that are demonstrated clearly in this video:

We also had to think about effects, audio and scrip writing on each scene. Then we put numbers on each scene in a chronological order. Then we cut the frames out from the storyboard and reorganized them creating another story within your own frames.
Then we worked on the synopsis (a short story) regarding the story board and technology we need for the production.
Our next step during the next week will be the video production and actual filming. Looking forward to the next critique session where we are supposed to show our high fidelity application!
