In the last few weeks, we’ve been working hard on a new version of PatientBank — a version that helps you more effectively manage your medical records.

There are a number of ways to store your medical records in one place: some folks keep them at home in a big folder, others store them on their computers. We’ve added a few features that we hope encourage you to use PatientBank to manage those records.

1. Searching

We know how hard it is to read a medical record. These printed-then-scanned documents can be hundreds of pages long. That lab result you’re looking could be located anywhere. Now, PatientBank lets you search for any word or phrase — we’ll show you all the places it shows up in your medical records.

Quickly search and annotate long, unwieldy records

2. Commenting

Once you’ve found what you’re looking for, you can click to mark it with a comment. It’s not only helpful the next time you’re looking at your medical records — it also saves considerable time for doctors as they review your records in PatientBank.

3. Sharing

PatientBank allows you to share a secure link to your medical record. Your doctor, your family, or your lawyer can use that link to view your records as you do, including any annotations that you may have added. No more printing records to bring to the doctor’s office.

PatientBank’s sharing feature allows you to send your medical records to anyone, and track who views them
