Is gaming the prescription for A.D.H.D.?

Gaming companies that focus on brain-training are working hard to support the claim they can reduce A.D.H.D. symptoms just like traditional medication. In early 2016, Akili Interactive Labs is kicking off a large clinical trial in hopes that their game “Project: Evo” will get FDA approval and be prescribed by doctors. It’s too early to tell if their product will deliver significant results for A.D.H.D. patients, but one thing is certain — gaming usage would remove any questions physicians have about treatment adherence.
