Whether you participate in New Year’s resolutions or not, you can’t deny that ringing in the New Year brings an exciting feeling of a fresh, clean slate for the year ahead. And it’s a great excuse to evaluate what you want to be doing more of in your life — and what you can leave behind. I took a trip around the office to exchange resolutions for 2018 with some PnP folks. Here are my favorites.

“Run a marathon! And help anyone who joins our team to learn and become as awesome as our current team members.”

— Lisa Roselin, Group Account Supervisor

“Travel to two new countries and one new state, pay off any remaining credit card debt, move into a new apartment, and read three new books every quarter.”

— Hannah Gordon, Creative Supervisor

“I’m pretty horrible with finishing things if I don’t have a deadline — whether it’s a movie, something I’m writing, etc. This year I just want to follow through with all of the things I start!”

— Collette Dorbandt, Medical Copy Editor

“These are more like goals and less like resolutions, but I want to meditate every day and learn how to crochet. I’m also going to practice going with my gut more, whether it’s in professional or personal settings.”

— Danielle Groves, Vice President, Copy Supervisor

“Keep my word about making plans to avoid the back-and-forth rescheduling that comes with canceling them. Also, to stop being late!”

— Maria Emlano, Brand Coordinator

“Go on more hikes.”

— Ryan Smith, Vice President, Group Project Supervisor

“Take one big trip and three small trips this year. To really practice enjoying life, outside of work.”

— Sanjana Chowdhury, Digital Coordinator

“To not hold back this year from doing what I truly want to do.”

— Lauren Dufour, Copy Supervisor

“Attend the SXSW Interactive Conference this year.”

— Shanti Garcia, Art Supervisor

How’s that for a bit of inspiration? And speaking of New Year’s resolutions, mine is to be a louder cheerleader for the talented and kind people in my life. Good luck to everyone who chose to pursue resolutions this year — I’m rooting for you.
