The tech industry has long dismissed people over 60 as not savvy enough to be worth their attention, focusing instead on younger populations. That’s beginning to change in a big way. A growing number of startups are focusing on how to use digital innovation to tackle some of the elderly’s greatest challenges — from receiving better chronic care to increasing social engagement. As investment in “age tech” continues to build, the idea that this audience doesn’t warrant digital solutions is quickly becoming as they say — old news.
