By the end of last year, Amazon and Google sold approximately 27 million voice devices in the U.S. alone. A recent survey conducted by Narvar found that 29% of people with voice devices in their home used them to make purchases, and 41% say they will start using their Echo or Home to start making purchases in the future.

And this is only the start of the impact voice devices will have on the way we shop. Voice assisted shopping allows you to make time for other aspects of your life, such as family time, going to the gym, or just giving you back 30 minutes.

Its seamless integration into your home and life eases the way you shop, because you can’t forget an item from your list given the capability to order items as needed, right then and there. Some areas where voice is predicted to have the biggest impact are feedback, returns, and replenishment.

Feedback: With more folks turning to voice devices to place orders, brands and companies can prompt feedback in real-time, as soon as a transaction is completed.

Returns: The more we purchase online, the more likely we are to return items. Voice devices can ease this process by reminding you of items to return, asking which items and why, and creating an email to print and send with the return package.

Replenishment: Voice devices can allow for brands to send you reminders as your products are near running out, to prevent that dreadful drive to the store.
