Paxira is an app that makes your rides even more fun by combining social and gaming features elegantly. It connects cyclists around the world and builds a close-knit community.
What does Paxira offer?
Whether you are a casual cruiser or a professional rider, Paxira will make your rides even more fun with its elegant combination of social and role-playing game aspects. The app is fundamentally a game. The app is expertly designed to increase your motivation and enjoyment whilst cycling, making it a fully immersive experience! You will gain in-app experience and level up by riding your bicycle. Moreover, like other online multiplayer games, you can also socialize, compete and form teams with other riders. With Paxira, you are never alone when you ride!
Why you’re building this?
Although there are many cycling tracking apps in the market, we do not feel motivated to cycle more nor satisfied by those apps. The mere behavior of tracking is not rewarding enough. Also, it is hard for casual riders to make it to the leaderboard, and thus the experience offered by current apps is not as engaging for them. We want to fix these problems. We enjoy playing games, so one day we thought, why not turn cycling tracking into a game? That’s when we decided to build Paxira with a fully passionate heart.
Why do you develop for android version Lollipop+?
We want users to experience the best of android, and thus we researched and found out that +65% of the users in fitness category has a device with Lollipop and above. By the time we launch Paxira v1.0.0 we expect around ~85% of the devices with Lollipop+. To provide a dramatically improved and delightful user experience, we decided to go with Lollipop+.
Have you finished building Paxira?
Not as yet. We are still in the early development stage. Every day, we are working hard to create and build new features with its user’s contributions. Please stay tuned.

As a tester, you will also become a founding member of the Paxira community and earn exclusive in-app rewards. The only requirement of being a tester is to own an Android phone. We are currently on Android only, but we promise it will be on iOS in the near future.
