In our continuing efforts to build a central developer environment for all PayPal developers, we are happy to announce that the application creation process for our identity product, Log in with PayPal (formerly PayPal Access), is in the process of being fully migrated from its old home on devportal.x.com over to the “Applications” tab on developer.paypal.com.

Creating a new Application

When you want to create a new Log in with PayPal OAuth 2 or OpenID Connect application, you will now go to developer.paypal.com and click on the “Applications” tab at the top. On the page that loads up, you will then click on the blue “Create Application” button at the top right of the page. When filling out the information for your new application, you will set the “Log In with PayPal” toggle to “on” and select all of the information that you require from the user, such as what is shown in the screenshot below:

Can’t see your existing Applications?

When you go to the applications tab on developer.paypal.com, are you seeing a message that states “We’re sorry, but something went wrong. Please try again.” instead of your existing Log In with PayPal applications? We are still in the process of moving all applications over to their new home on developer.paypal.com, but to make sure that you can still edit and modify your applications while this migration is underway, you can still make all application changes on the old devportal.x.com location. All changes that you make will be migrated over once the transition is complete. Application transition should be completed by the end of the week.
