Paycoin Officially Acquires ISMS Certification

The first case among virtual asset projects

Paycoin, an integrated lifestyle payment platform based on virtual asset, has acquired the ISMS certification. We expect that this will further solidify our position in the virtual asset market of Korea.

Danal Fintech, the operator of Paycoin, is thrilled to announce that PayProtocol AG — the issuer of Paycoin (PCI) — has officially acquired ISMS (Information Security Management System) certification for the first time among the virtual asset projects.

The ISMS certification that PayProtocol AG has acquire covers all services related to blockchain, including wallet, nodes, as well as the Paycoin service, which is the first case for a virtual asset issuer.

ISMS certification is a verification given out by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). It is a verification system to see if the protection measures of the information system meet the criteria. For virtual asset operators, they must pass 56 additional virtual asset-specific items in addition to 325 ISMS basic control items.

The ISMS certification of PayProtocol AG guarantees the stability and reliability of “Paycoin”, which we expect that this will bring more momentum in expanding our lifestyle services as well as Paycoin (PCI) payment services.

We have been continuously expanding Paycoin’s virtual asset payment scope through extensive partnerships such as CU (Convenient store), 7-Eleven, emart 24 (Convenient store), CGV (Movie theater), Domino’s Pizza and much more. In addition to payment services, we are also implementing virtual assets into other areas such as BTC-linked Payment Service, Paycoin Shopping and Paycoin Gift.

Through acquiring the ISMS certification, which is one of the essential requirements to become a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in Korea, we have now completed all the preparation process.
